Did the trees in the Garden of Eden have rings in their trunks?
We are told that the ceder trees in Lebanon that Solomon used to build the temple are more beautiful than the trees in Eden. Ezekiel 31

If Genesis is literal, then no.

If Genesis is symbolic, then it depends on whether Adam and Eve existed as two representative individuals. If they did, then they had parents and therefore belly buttons. If they did not exist and are purely symbolic, then the question does not apply.

I think so because the end products of a miracle obey the usual laws of physics or follow the horizontal norms.

Yes.

See Adam, Eve, and evolution.
This is where YEC has problems. God created male and female on day six, then He rested on day 7 and then He created Adam and Eve on day 8. The male and female were given the entire planet on day 6 . Adam and Eve were given the Garden of Eden. This is when I became a Dispensationalist, where a day equals 1,000 years. Embed age does not explain how people can be born, live their life and die in a literal 24 hour day.

People try to say the day 6 male was the same as the day 8 man. Then why on day six was he given the entire earth and then on day 8 he was given Eden to tend? Even if you have three 24 hour days, that means Adam would only be 72 hours old.

Then we still have the question of who was Cain afraid of that would kill him?

2 Peter 3:8 "With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day."

where a day is 1,000 years.

I thought you were YEC. God rested on the 7th day, then He created Adam and Eve in Chapter 2 on the 8th day.

Genesis 2:2 talks about the seventh day, then after that in verse 2:7 "The LORD God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed the breath of life into his nostrils, and the man became a living being.d" Breath here is a VERY important word. Almost as important as the first word in the Bible: "Beginning". Back in Genesis 1 we see the word life but the word in Hebrew in chapter two is nashmat.

There is no embedded age on day 8. This all took place 6,000 years ago. Even Science can confirm that. Eden is ancient Mesopotamia in the tigris euphrates river valley. A very rich and furtle land, even today. Although there is a huge problem with water being diverted and the river is going dry. nishmat

  1. Genesis Chapter 1 - "Life": In Genesis chapter 1, the Hebrew word used for "life" is "חַי" (chai). The word "chai" in Hebrew means "living" or "alive." It is used to describe various living creatures that were created during the days of creation in Genesis 1.
  2. Genesis Chapter 2 - "Breath": In Genesis chapter 2, specifically when God forms Adam from the dust of the ground and breathes life into him, the term "נִשְׁמַת חַיִּים" (nishmat chayim) is used. This phrase combines "נִשְׁמַת" (nishmat), meaning "breath" or "soul," with "חַיִּים" (chayim), which means "life" or "living."
In Genesis 2:7 (New International Version), the verse describes God breathing the breath of life into Adam: "Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being."

1Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array. 2And by the seventh day God had finished the work He had been doing; so on that day He rested from all His work.a

3Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because on that day He rested from all the work of creation that He had accomplished.

Man and Woman in the Garden

4This is the account of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORDb God made them.

5Now no shrub of the field had yet appeared on the earth, nor had any plant of the field sprouted; for the LORD God had not yet sent rain upon the earth, and there was no man to cultivate the ground. 6But springsc welled up from the earth and watered the whole surface of the ground.

7Then the LORD God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed the breath of life into his nostrils, and the man became a living being.d

8And the LORD God planted a garden in Eden, in the east, where He placed the man He had formed. 9Out of the ground the LORD God gave growth to every tree that is pleasing to the eye and good for food. And in the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

The Hebrew term used for "breath" in Genesis 2:7 is indeed "נִשְׁמַת" (nishmat), derived from the root word "נְשָׁמָה" (neshamah), which specifically refers to "breath" or "soul" in a broader sense. This term underscores the intimate act of God breathing life into Adam, imbuing him with the breath of life and making him a living being.

The use of "נִשְׁמַת חַיִּים" (nishmat chayim) in Genesis 2:7 emphasizes the combination of the breath of life ("נִשְׁמַת" - nishmat) with "חַיִּים" (chayim), which means "life" or "living." This conveys a profound spiritual and life-giving act of creation, highlighting the significance of breath and the divine act of bestowing life upon humanity.

There weren't any laws of physics or horizontal norms at the moment of Creation by the Creator.
Those carnal things came much later, thousands of years later, to deceive people

Yahweh Breathed Life into Adam, made from dust, as Yahweh Says, right ?
A lot of current questions and posts on the forum do not apply and do not matter except if possibly , God Willing, to get back to the Truth as God Says.

No, God does not say that. Genesis says that. And I do not think Genesis is a literal account.

No, God does not say that. Genesis says that. And I do not think Genesis is a literal account.

That does not mean that everything in the Scriptures is literal or God's direct quotation, though.

It means Yahweh Reveals the Truth to infants by revelation, including understanding Scripture.

The verse you quoted? No, it does not mean that. The verse means that all scripture Timothy was used to read are inspired and useful.

Any scholarly reference support?
Reference to support what? That Adam and Eve lived in the Garden of Eden? Science has a slightly different perspective, but yes, they fully support Adam and Eve on a number of different levels. You seem to think there is some kind of conflict when Science and the Bible are in full agreement.

In many cases, perceived conflicts between science and religious beliefs may arise due to differing interpretations of religious texts, misunderstandings of scientific principles, or attempts to reconcile ancient religious teachings with modern scientific discoveries. However, many individuals find harmony and agreement with Science and what we read in our Bible.
