If they did ... then that means their food went to waste, which means the plant food they ate died ... which means that "death" was in the Garden before they sinned. Or maybe plant death was not yet the entrance of death due to sin.

I always thought no death was limited to people. If it is limited to everything we run into much bigger biological problems than waste.

I always thought no death was limited to people. If it is limited to everything we run into much bigger biological problems than waste.

If death was present among all non-human life from the beginning, then what is the creation anxiously longing for? Was the creation caught in futility and corruption from the moment of its creation - except for pre-Fall humans?

And, as that wise theologian Joni Mitchell said ... aren't we all trying to "get ourselves back to the Garden"?
