I didn't know he had a stroke...it's only been about a year... glad to see him back to doing what he loves to do.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Yes! We should be praying that Dick Clark accepts Christ as his Saviour . This was a close one.

He looked great but initally I was stunned by his inability to speak clearly. Then I realized that his thought process was very clear, he just had trouble getting the words out.
As someone who knows of a few people who have had strokes, they are nasty. My dad had one a few years ago. He pretty much fully recovered (Praise God) but some of the other people have not done so well. It seems with strokes, sometimes the person begins recovery & then the recovery just stops. If Mr. Clark hasn't been able to recover his speech after a year, I have a feeling he may never get it back.
But much congratulations to Mr. Clark for working hard & fighting his way back. He is still a great inspiration & I hope he does recover & is on TV for many years to come.

I didn't catch his New Years Eve celebration- I do think he will be slow to get back into broadcasting it anyways. It seems his stroke was quite severe.

I haven't been home for New Year's in a few years..we have a lovely first night celebration locally but we went home early cause of snow.. (this is my first winter with a car.. amazingly and I didn't think I wanted to experiment with driving on the ice with the post party crowd later on) so we watched the ball drop for the first time in years
