Thank you all,

Especially for the prayers -- he called again -- had a long talk -- he said he went to church and prayed to God and said he prays in his mind everynite before bed - because he is in a room with everyone around -- he said that God made him strong -- told me that he passed every course and knows God played a part because he is much smaller then most of the others -- he thanked me for letting him know about Jesus and he will start reading the Bible more often --

I am so happy he has turned too God in Jesus name -- that is the best Christmas gift I could ever recieve -- Praise God

Love you all and thanks for all the kind words - I will also be on this forum to pray for others

ok, he is gone now to Camp Geiger in NC for combat training then off to Pensecola, FL for 9 months of schooling...

had a great winter break with him and what a change in him.. so polite and everything is Yes, Mam, yes, sir.. note the Mam in Caps... he he... feel much better now, not like when he left the first time...

Hey and no ironing camies... they just dry and done... he did some recruiting here at home before he left..

What's he training for in Pensacola? My guess (and this is no shot in the dark!) is that it's got something to do with aviation. I went to Pensacola NAS for my tech school (there's a small training detachment for the USAF there), and I've got to say it can be a blast in the summer. Also, it's cool to be able to watch the Blue Angels training 200 ft over your head as you're getting ready to march to class.

bolded - yes, that is his MOS... thanks for letting me know more about it.. he will be there in about a month and 1/2.. his schooling will be on the mechanics and all ... most likely he then will be detached in the future to a Marine Wing Support Squadron.. my hubby was with one in El Toro, CA and Tustin, CA... loved it there, but those bases are closed now..

All I've gotta say is that's the only way to pin them on. When I pinned on Sgt., I had to literally pull the chevron out of my collar bone it was hit so hard

next time you get promoted try having your wife do it..

I did twice to my hubby.. was very gentle.. but the Marines got him right after anyway

my son had scabs for about a week... and loving the Corps .. so happy for him and many others who are serving .. God bless you all..

My son, Marine, just finished schooling in Pensacola Fl, and Jacksonville, NC on Marine Helicopter electronics, CH-46, and will be going to California for station,

of course coming home for a visit before he goes and has made Lance Corporal . Will do probably 3 years in Cali and then said will put in for Recruiting Duty .

Thank the Lord for blessing him
