  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Thank you so much and God Bless You :)

He is graduating 12/2 - he said he loves it - I am so proud no matter what he does in life - he could of went to college - but chose the Marine Corps - sometimes I cry when I remember what he said - "Mom I want to help out those guys at war, why should I not, Dad did.." it is hard to let him decide - but those words will always stay close to me - no matter what - every son and Daughter who join to defend us here - I will ever be greatful for thier sacrifices and to all those who gave it to me before - seems we forget and take things as they come - God Bless them all before -present and after

My brother is heading to bootcamp tomorrow. I'm scared for him but I pray every night for his safety. Please pray for his safety and that his Christian walk grows stronger. That he overcomes all of the temptations that will be thrown at him. He's 19 years old.:groupray:

He will be fine - he will love it - I will pray for him and ask God to keep him strong through it - there will be times of struggle - but he will prevail - God bless him for joining his brothers in arm and he will have so many new friends and they will be just like brothers to him - semper fi

That's where I went to Basic Training! Ft. "Lost in the Woods" C/co. 3-10Inf.

When I re-enlisted, the Army sent me there in Dec 1983 for MOS school - 62E - heavy junk operator. we called it the same - Fort Lost in the Woods, Misery (Missouri). How did you like running the "RollerCoaster" over by the ranges? thats what we called that section of road during the PT runs.

It was wonderful considering it barely got above zero degrees the majority of time I was there, so on PT runs our sweat and snot would freeze:D If you've never experienced that feeling, it's something else. I mean, I'm from SoCal so that was CRAZY for me! "RollerCoaster" is a very fitting name for it, though! We used to do Indian Relays up those hills...fun:)
