CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Our lives have no specific destiny, such as I am where I am because of some plan or ordination. But we all have a destiny to die. And to take up space. Stuff like that.

You forgot the one true option. Life is not planned for you, but is a result of a set of cause/effect relationships that you have no control over. Every decision you make is based upon a set of beliefs developed because of the cause/effect relationships you've been a part of in the past. So you do have an unchangeable destiny, but there is no planning involved. However, you cannot know what that destiny is, and you feel like you have real control over it. So it doesn't matter all that much.

Life is planned, and you do have a destiny, however, you still have controll. It is just simply made that the actions you plan to take by controll co-inside with destany.

Thats instinct not destiny. While I do believe that we live our own lives as to how we see fit God can and introduce people to your life or makes little changes in your life to lead you down a certain path. You just have to be willing to take the road he sets out for you.
