Hmmmm well I saw the show tonight. I wonder why she has that person locked up in the basement?

I am really glad the relationship is over between the woman and the teenager. That was my biggest complaint about the show.. had the same relationship been with a girl teenager and a male, they would have shown his arrest and made it clear that this was wrong. Sexual abuse is sexual abuse even if a women is the perp.

If I remember correctly, he is in college... and has his own apartment, which means that he is at least 18... so he is old enough to be consentual in every state!

Ofcourse! Don't go light on an abuser just 'cause she's a woman.

Men and women both abuse, but do so differently. Men often use physical strength. Women use dirty manipulation.
Sometimes the one is triggered by the other. If manipulated and pushed too far, any man will want to hit. Ofcourse it is considered "normal" for sexual abuse to be performed by men. Women are usually considered innocent and harmless pure and blameless in this area. That is not the case, while I have not been abused like that by a woman myself - I know for a fact that women can be just as bad as men can be. Some would argue worse, because psychological terror often employed by them is terrible.

Thankfully my gf is not manipulative or crazy... My ex was and goodness - I never knew woment could act so filthily. (filthily is probably not a word, but you know what I mean)

(FYI; I don't watch TV at all anymore, I consider it a waste of time.)

What reason would they have to lock someone up in the basement? Are they afraid of the person? Do they get this money because of this person (such as money from a settlement or life insurance policy or social security check?)

I bet there is no "logical" reason.. But my mind is intrigued.

By the way, when that relationship with the gardner began, he was not old enough. There was a scene in which his mother threatened to call the police after all.

ok, I missed the last episode... I can't wait to see the new one. I am quite intriqued by the new neighbors too. That women is a really good actress, she is so nice and attractive, but then she is so mean! I am getting a little "over" gabriells character, shes not very exciting anymore....

There has been some interesting changes in Gabriella that you might find more interesting.

I think she is beginning to realize that she does not have all that she thinks she has. Being rejected was good for her. Also, why is she visiting her husband in Prison if she doesn't really care about his welfare? I don't agree with paying all that money... but she acted as if it was no big deal that her husband was beaten.

The new TV Guide that's on newstands now has a picture and a name (character and actor) of the guy being held in the basement. Personally, I think he looks too young to be her husband.
