As for the thread's main topic.

Derek Prince is a light in a world of darkness.

He seemed to get into mass delivering people in some cases and I'm not sure what that is about.

Some of those events seemed odd.

But other than that I personally think he is a great guide if his work helps you.

Christ completed salvation on the cross. Wether I trust in that to be complete is what faith is. The world will always tell you that you need something else.

Thank you for confirming what I have been finding out about Derek Prince. I was listening to an interview with him last night - at the time he was 84 years old.

In my area of the country, most charismatic/ pentecostal preachers, seem to have a requirement of being "hick", for lack of a better term. And it's refreshing to listen to someone like Derek Prince, who made it his mission to teach in truth and love, without any gimmicks.

I love Derek.

He is gem and while I think the mass deliverance portions were a bit too open for enemy infiltration... I believe he truly meant well in them.

His lectures are full of wisdom and he follows the Bible. His teaching on the pearl of great price is one of his best.

Galatians 3:13-14 Christ completed the work. We must trust in Him, that it is finished.

When people quote verses like this, in spiritual warfare situations, what the afflicted person hears is:

If you had more faith you would not have any problems.

If you say so.

Just seems if you leave it there that you are disagreeing with Christ.

Salvation being finished has nothing to do with spiritual warfare.

spiritual warfare is basically:

Investigation.. through prayer, or asking the afflicted person(s) the correct questions.. asking God to show you what is going on.
Asking God what is his will for the situation.
Align yourself with God's will (don't attempt to do something contrary to your own desires)
Pray in accordance with God's will to accomplish the end goal.

righteous people were doing these things before Jesus.

That is a great teaching. I never thought of Christ as 'the merchant ' and the field as the world. I thought that parable had many meanings, but not that way.
