I haven't been around in awhile. Basically, last July my doctor was trying to figure out if I had anxiety or depression (I'm also autistic), and I was given a low dose of something for anxiety, which made me much worse...

I got a new doctor in the fall. September-March I was dealing with infections over and over (sometimes I went to the hospital so they didn't do a culture, just did a test and said white blood cells were high and I had many different antibiotics).

I tried talking to my new doctor about my moods in February.
In January, I started attending a work centre. May 7, I was basically told to stop crying or to take a leave of absence. I had two meltdowns that week and the counselor/psychologist wasn't working either day.

Beginning of April, went to Cuba two weeks. Then went dogsitting for a week. So basically wasn't home for 3 weeks, and got behind in my penpal letters, recorded TV shows. Then I didn't even feel like writing penpals letters at all.

May 8 I started an antidepressant. I went back after a month, and my doctor even said I looked better.

I started my volunteer work placement a week ago at a grocery store as a cashier, I didn't think I could handle it, but now I really, really want to get hired (they're hiring right now). I hope they'll hire me ASAP and not wait weeks until my placement is done. I am having some serious financial problems and pretty much went through some "rock bottom moments".

Today was Walk the Walk for Autism which is the highlight of my year, even though I wanted to raise $280 for my 28th birthday and didn't... raised over $500 last year, and $1000 in 2012, was a rough year for fundraising.

Thank you,
Kelly.
