Depression Support

Can I join this thread? I've had depression for about 5 years, and I started on Prozac only about a month ago. I was doing well at first, praise God, but it doesn't seem to be working like it did at first. I'm going to try surrounding myself with prayer and support from other Christians before I work on making any adjustments to my meds. I'm definitely not feeling as bad as I was, but I'm still kinda blue.

I am feeling a little drained - i'm pretty happy right now but have a real tiredness hanging over me and i don't want that to drag down my mood.

My wedding dress has arrived so i am having a fitting on saturday and am so excited

Mine has navy on it though so the top band is navy and the back panel which is a darker coluor on this dress is navy on mine - it look better than the picture!

Oh my goodness, RS, that's unbelievably gorgeous! I love the idea of adding the navy; navy is one of my favorite colors and I've always loved dresses that are white with some dark-colored accents. My 8th grade promotion dress was white with a red floral pattern as an accent.

~~ I'm struggling to stay in this world and get my head back on straight. I don't know any forums with as diverse amount of people as this and I feel like a small pean in a pod falling through the cracks~~ yet I go on.

Hi, things are ok at the moment...but a bit crazy and hung up in the air. I've been extremely tired and stressed lately, ive been a bit like a zombie lol. I've had tiredness problems most of the year , but revision period seems to have made it 20 times worse, had trouble revising quite a lot because ive either been extremely depressed or physically and mentally exhausted. I've actually got to decide, probably by tonight whether to take a year off and just sit the exams next year (i've done all my coursework for the year, all id have to do would be to sit the exams this time next year). I'm thinking I might be refreshed by next year, and I will have had another year to refresh myself and plenty more time to revise, coz i havent been very focused on my degree all year, getting my depression sorted seems to have been on my mind more. I'm wondering whethet to go back and live with my parents for a year, help to get myself better, and just graduate next year.

Ideally, I'd rather do well and graduate with my friends this year, but im not sure il even pass now. So yeah, gota pray about it and make a big decision tonight.

If anyone is able, would 1 or 2 ppl mind just praying God will really guide my decision on this one, and I will make the right/wisest choice. Plus also if I do take a year off, that my parents will be ok about it. Thank you.

It looks really striking with the dark blue and i also have a veil which has a dark blue trim around the bottom so it all just fits together - i last tried it on in january so it will be really exciting to see it again and the fact i get to wear it in two weeks!!!

I am so excited now - but a bit stressed out too - i need to keep myself grounded and spend more time with God - i do just sit sometimes and do that - i think it's something we all need to do more of!

I'm a bit sad today because it would be the day of my other brother's graduation (not Trevor, the one who I mentioned might be getting married sometime in the next couple years, but Jered, who died of meningococcemia in November of '02) from USC.

Thanks yeah i am trying to remember to take time outs.

I've been struggling with feeling tired all year, I think I've learnt now its prob due to taking this prozac...but I just about got by, during coursework/teaching sessions, but now the revision period's hit me i honestly am finding concentration impossible...I just feel like a zombie lol! I really wish I'd made the decision to switch meds earlier instead of screwing up finals now, grr!

Anyway I'm seeing someone at uni on monday at 3, to find out if i can get exam deferrals, and how to go about all that. Quite nervous at seeing them hehe, I really wish I could do them now, graduate and be done, but I really don't think I'll be able to right now.
Sorry to hear you've been really stressed, just remember why you're doing it, and pray, God will help plans fall into place and run smoothly. He loves u both, and wants things to go well im sure! God bless xxx

P.S. would it be ok if 1 or 2 ppl could pray that the meeting with the uni person goes well on mon? I'm quite nervous, i dont want the uni to think im being lazy, i do want to do well, but this exhaustion seems to be preventing it at the moment
