I suffer from depression as well. I decided to look up a post tonight of someone who might also be struggling and I found yours.
Here is what I would suggest.
1. No one is demanding or commanding that you feel a certain way. If you are united with Christ, then knowledge of what you have in Him can be of immense help.
2. Some problems are chemical in nature, others can be managed through discipline of the mind and body. Search out, if you have not yet, what might be your condition.
3. The following playlist of sermons by Martin Llyod Jones has been helpful to me. Maybe they could be helpful for you.

4. You have the days God Himself has given to you. Wait upon Him. Seek Him. Cry out to Him.
"Father in heaven, You are the God who sees. You are the God who understands. While sometimes you let us know why we go through the trials we go through, other times you simply say "Trust". Sometimes you are silent. In the garden when our Lord fell to the ground and sought you to take away the cup of suffering...You were silent. If then, the Lord Jesus had to wait upon You and trust You completely as He did, how much more then are we simply called to wait. With your great love and patience please bless this soul. Be glorified in their life and make Yourself known in their life. You are good. Help us glorify You and wait patiently, even when the darkness weighs down upon us, and there seems to be no light, and no hope. You, Lord, are our light. In Jesus' name, the name You love. Amen."
-Know that you are not alone.
I’m 29M. I have on average another 56 years to live. I’ve struggled with depression for about a decade already. How am I supposed to be thankful for waking up every morning?
