The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

I feel so bad. :-/
HE "feels" so good about you. HE embraces your every moment. Look to Him, not to your "feelings."I feel so bad. :-/
I know we shouldnt look to our feelings but im human and its every part of me..the pain..the emotions ...the hurt...its the only thing i can feel inside of me..my feelings are apart of me. My soul..sometimes i just can not look at my feelings and ignore them because its what makes me feel alive..or am i wrong ...if i am please correct me :-/HE "feels" so good about you. Not really....Im going through my stages of depression as well. It helps to have a go to verse to comfort you. You do have any book or scripture verses in the Bible that you often gravitate towards when you're down?
Not really....
Thats true and i do love God but i didnt put him first and rebelled against him..now i have all these regrets and when i look back on my life my ways didnt show that..etc..now i am carrying this burden of guilt sorrow and shamefulness and pain..so its hard for meRomans 8:28
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
When you became a Christian you became occupied by the Holy Spirit of God. HE is the mediator, the arbitrator, the reconciliator. All of Him is available to you right now and forever. If, on the other hand, you spend your days and nights listening to your "feelings," you are blocking the input of the Holy Spirit.I know we shouldnt look to our feelings but im human and its every part of me..the pain..the emotions ...the hurt...its the only thing i can feel inside of me..my feelings are apart of me.sometimes i just can not look at my feelings and ignore them because its what makes me feel alive..or am i wrong :-/..
Yeah..thanks..i needed to hear that.....thanks for thatWhen you became a Christian you became occupied by the Holy Spirit of God. HE is the mediator, the arbitrator, the reconciliator. All of Him is available to you right now and forever. If, on the other hand, you spend your days and nights listening to your "feelings," you are blocking the input of the Holy Spirit.
For example, He says, "I love you." You reply, "I feel bad." He says, "I'm right there with you." You reply "I can't ignore my feelings." He says, "the very best is right here, right now. You are being asked to participate in the wonderful Good News of God's Amazing Grace, the life-changing love of God is right here, right now."
How do you respond? "Oh, yeah, I know, I've heard it all before, but I'm just human and I feel these things that are apart of me and......" and He interrupts to say: "JENNIFERDIANA!!!! IT'S ME!! I'm assigned to change your "feelings" into love for me, yourself, and others! No more sticking your head in the sand, no more loneliness doing nothing----I placed perfect living in your head the moment you became a Christian.

You just have to recognize that you are the Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus!" Romans 10:8-13. Believe it, Confess it, Receive it, and go on your way rejoicing.
I'm shutting down for tonight, but the Holy Spirit is right there with you 24/7/365. You can count on Him!
Count your blessings kid. Being thankful for what the Lord has already done for us is a sure-fire way to beat the bluesI feel so bad. :-/
Just goes to show how the daily habit of Bible reading and prayer is so valuable, right?Im going through my stages of depression as well. It helps to have a go to verse to comfort you. You do have any book or scripture verses in the Bible that you often gravitate towards when you're down?
John 14.1-27 and Psalm 46 are great passages, among many others.
John's First Epistle, amongst other themes, is about assurance of faith in the Son of God.
Verse 10 is memorable: "Be still, and know that I am God".Thanks, I was trying to remember Psalms 46.
