depressed feelings

Hi,
I have been home with my daughter and now she is 6. I've tried to get work since she started Kindergarten, but nothing happened last year as far as a job goes. When we moved here 4 years ago. I made some good friends, but then I lost them due to moving. It's been hard ever since, especially since we have been looking for a church home. Last night we went to a VBS get together at a church where my daughter went (not our church, but we've been there before) and I felt myself getting depressed to see people fellowshipping etc. Not that I dont' try, but I am a little older and don't feel like I fit in with young marrieds or senior citizens either. Is it harder to make friends as one gets older? My husband pretty much comes home after work and is not up for much social interaction ex. in church.

I guess I have depressed feelings due to not enough social interaction, not yet getting plugged in to church (we've been there a little more than a month, and it's summer...), and not yet having a job. Please pray and advise if you want...

Right now I'm endeavoring to fill my days to keep my kids occupied in the summer, but I need it too. One of our cars conked out last week.
I need a car to look for a job, want to go to San Diego for vacation.
I hope no one thinks this is all about me, I want to get involved in church, do things etc. I am spending a lot of time in prayer and in the Word. I tithe and try to live sensibly.
I guess I just wanted to post this and get some feedback.

Oh I wanted to add I have no unconfessed sin in my life and I guess I get depressed feelings about not having our home yet, I don't like where we are living. I am hesistant to move this summer when our lease is up, if we are going to get a house next year.

I'll be praying that God will provide for you, guide you and show you what to do in this difficult situation, that he would put you in the right places at the right times for finding the job that he has planned for you, and that things would get easier, and that even through the struggles that he would bless you and show you his love!

Anyone older care to respond? Thanks for your response, but I'd really like some "older" life experience. You have a great heart though.
