• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

Not sure where to start. I drank last night and right now I feel terrible. I keep quitting and relapsing. I have a court date for a drug charge in a week and I'm terribly nervous about it. I hope I get put on probation and get help with rehab or something. I feel so bad about wanting to attend a church service, or an aa meeting, but not feeling good enough to follow through. I pray and ask for help in feeling better. If anyone out there wants to pray for me I would appreciate it greatly. Any advice you have would also be welcome.:prayer:

Will be happy to keep you in prayer.
You do not have to feel bad,if you accepted Christ you can call out to God our father in Jesus name.
Pray in agreement with me lord God I repent of my sin,I know by the blood of Christ I am made whole.
No weapon nor vile thing formed against me will prosper
This day I proclaim victory in Jesus, over all my affliction.
I am made whole,I have put off my flesh and put on the spirit of God.

In Jesus holy name.

Hold fast to this my friend God never fails.
Open your bible read and study, start with Ephesians stay there until you receive wisdom, then keep studying on.
God Bless

One of the most important things I get to do as a Christian is lift up my brothers and sisters in Christ as well as non-believers in prayer to the one true Living God through Christ Jesus. When I read your post last night I asked our Lord God to extend His great mercy and grace to you, and to give you His peace that passes all understanding. I also asked Him to remove your fear because His perfect love casts out all fear. None of us were worthy until Jesus died for our sins and rose from the dead to conquer hell and death. You are good enough to go to church and an AA meeting. You will be accepted and loved there. I encourage you to read the Gospel of John in the New Testament. It is the fourth book, just after Luke. Go in peace brother.

When your in that cycle learn to give your addiction only what it needs rather than what it wants, this will start reducing the power that your addicted mindset has over you and teach you that you do have control even if you are limited to what you can do.

Man will give up on you but if you belong to Christ nothing in Heaven or earth can take you from his love.

The first thing to stop doing is labeling yourself;
I'm a drug addict
I'm a alcoholic

It will come to pass if you have faith that there is no changing what you are.
With God all things are possible including your being restored.

Humble yourself cry out to him know in your heart you are free, resist the devil and he will flee from you.
And if you fall back repent no charge in God's kingdom will be against you.
Man will not forgive but God through Christ will always never to be brought against you again.

When we fall we think we have failed God and there is no hope, that is a lie of Satan.
If you don't know Christ seek him he will redeem you and forgive you always.

I know a girl who had a 50 pill a day habit then got on crack,I thought she would die but God had other plans.
she was taken in by a ministry found God and her addiction was gone along with her brother who was Hell bound as well.
Her marriage was restored and she was blessed with another child.

We cannot go it alone and even the worst bondage can be healed if you place God first in your life.
