I used to belong to the "one true church" -- at least that was how they saw themselves. Then I grew up and joined the rest of the Christian Church only to find out that many denominations have this idea. They are the "one true church" and everyone else is decieved, part of Babylon, rebellious, etc.
The reasons for this exclusivity are many -- the right day (Saturday/Sunday), the right history, the right authority, the right gifts, the right creeds, the right confessions, the right doctrines, the right baptism, the right view of prophecy, etc.
What a load of rubbish. How about all of us just saying that we have the right Savior, Jesus, and that only being right in his eyes counts?
