Hi Brethren

Can someone please make a case using the Bible alone for:

Who are the demons
What are demons
Where are all the demon
When did demons come into being
Why are there demons

Then,

What legal rights do they have over a non believer and a believer.

Many thanks,

Dave-W

No.

Beyond the anecdotal evidence for their existence, little else is recorded in scripture.

From those stories we can glean a few ideas, like they do not have bodies, (seeking even pig bodies if removed from humans) which means that they are NOT angels who DO have bodies; multiple demons can inhabit a single body, (Mk 5.9, 16.9): they have an organized command structure with a "strong man" (Mk 3.27); And they are subject to the Name of Jesus. (Luk 10.17) We also know there are at least 2 classes of demons from the Greek words daimōn and daimonion; with the latter meaning "little demon."

But beyond that, we are given no information on what exactly they are, (rather than what they are NOT); what their origin is, Where they exist when not inhabiting human or animal bodies, or WHY they exist.

Hi

There are many different views as to the origin of demons their power dominion and role etc.

However one thing is clear regardless of the many different theories all demons are subject to the name of Jesus.

What this proves is regardless of what people believe about the stories and teachings of the bible that Jesus is or is not the son of God.

it is obvious that these supernatural entities know the truth beyond human comprehension and submit and obey the name of Jesus.

They are not under human control or human dominion however how is it possible that they obey the name of Jesus.

It is clear they know who he is and believe it.

This is just my point of view demons are the fallen angels that were cast out of heaven.

The book of Ephesians describes spirits as principalities, powers, rulers of darkness. and spiritual wickedness.

Another words, 4 different ranks of demons with different roles and objectives.

Believers have been given authority over demons and may exercise this right by using the name of Jesus and commanding demons to stop attacking them or others, to leave locations and people etc.

However remember it is only Jesus that removes the enemy, all credit and glory must go to Jesus.

It is not our place to take credit brag or glorify the fact that demons were subject to the name of Jesus.

Jesus said to the seventy that returned after sharing glory not that the demons were subject to you but rather glory that your names are written in heaven.

Another words be satisfied that your name maybe written in the lambs book of life, but don’t mistake the manifestation of the Holy Spirit for meeting someone’s needs, as your own personal power to force demons to comply.

The kingdom of heaven is not about demons and deliverance.

Its about salvation and loving the Lord your God with all your heart soul mind and strength and loving your neighbour as yourself, so that one day we may be found blameless and reside in heaven with our heavenly father.

Who are the demons -fallen angels

What are demons - principalities, powers, rulers of darkness. and spiritual wickedness.

Where are all the demon- hell, 3rd heaven, & spiritual realm manifesting themselves in the natural realm, dreams, through any form of mind exercise or substance abuse, yoga, meditation, drugs, alcohol, etc etc.

When did demons come into being – and when they were cast out of heaven, when Adam and Eve transgressed in the garden and dominion was transferred to satan he become the god of this world, and man was wiped from the face of the earth due to their imagination of evil and violence.

Why are there demons- its funny you should ask that as there were billions of other plants that satan and the demons could have been sent to, however I believe to prevent another rebellion in heaven, satan was cast down to earth and everyone that wanted to follow satans path shared in his demise and everyone that followed Gods path shared in his reward.

Just a point of view.

Now as for believer and non-believer’s legal rights.

Non-Christians are born in the kingdom of darkness and Christian’s are born into the kingdom of light.

Christians have authority over the enemy but only through the name of Jesus and have the promises of the word of God as a matter of law or policy to support and back them up.

Non-Christin’s have no authority due to the fact they have free will and must make a decision to receive Jesus as there Lord and savior, so they can be transferred into the kingdom of light and receive authority, its benefits and the rights of a Christian and the word of God to support and back them up.

Non Christians can call upon God when they need help or assistance but this does not save them, unless they are ready to receive Jesus as there Lord and Savior.

I hope this helps.

Peace
