I do not watch the news if my life depend on it. I hear too many horror stories that make me sad. This world is very sad. I heard from a lady at work how this lady killed her children and then put them in the washer and dryer. She asked me how could someone do that. All I could reply is those demons. What is your knowledge about demons and scripture? What is a good book about demonolgy? I experienced...a lot of encounters with spirits. Demons...too, Do you think that is the only reason people can be so sick?

I wouldn't call demons the ONLY source of affliction. We know bacteria exist, we know that chemical problems in a person's mind can cause depression, physical malladies with physical explinations, but that's not to say they can't make things worse. I know first hand what demonic opression is like and I can tell you it is horrific. Praise God he's spared me of it and it has been smooth sailing since, but yes, they do cause problems and probably do compound existing ones, but one thing to remember, while the Devil and Demons do tempt us, it ultimately is the person who decides to sin or resist.

There are enough things going around to make a person do bad things. No need to blame them on demons.

I use to be on drugs, I have a family member who is bipolar and is on drugs, and I use to hate the world...and I never imagine killing anyone...I doubt that truly

I’m not talking about the person having a choice. Whether the person chooses to do it or not, it still being demon possessed. I have to choice to smoke cigarettes. I can’t blame the cigarettes if I start smoking but it is still affecting me. Cigarettes can control a Christian…and that is bondage. Bondage only comes from the devil. Oppression comes from the devil. Depression comes from the devil. Being influenced by the enemy…is still being influenced. Even if you chose to be a Satan worshipper

I don't think there are really such things as Demons. Not that we imagine them, not that they are real. Our minds can conjure up all manner of things and I think we need to purposely conjure up Christ in our mind to get rid of the subconsciously willed demon. When I see, envision something not of this world, I immediately ask God to remove it and He does because when we call on God, there is only room for God in us.

Demons would rather have you focus on them so they can have your attention and mess with you. Focusing on Jesus, who can help the people is the better thing to do.

That said, Scripture tells us a little bit about demons. They can possess people (Mark 5:1-20), make them sick (Mark 9:14-29), are involved in fortune telling (Acts 16:16-18), and are too much for people to handle on our own (Acts 19:13-16).

I totally believe that demons exist and that they can control or influence people. There is nothing in the Bible to suggest that they no longer possess people after Jesus' ministry (which seemed to be chock-full of them!).

Although I also feel that the Enemy can pretty much operate on cruise control with the current state of the world. A people who seem to be only concerned with their own pleasure and happiness (even if only for a quick fix) don't need a demon to possess them.

No demons huh? And read Acts 19:10 -14. Hmm, how come it speaks about evil spirits?

And come on GROW UP! Envision something not of this world? Maybe in your mind but not others. If it’s been removed then how come all these evil people are killing people? I love Jesus Christ and that is my goal in everything I do. To be a lady of excellence in everything I do for HIS Glory and not mine. I cannot ignore the enemy. He is out there to kill me and destroy me. Just because I make a promise not to say anything about him or do anything about him…DOES NOT MEAN HE IS NOT THERE.
Its like, if you receive a threaten letter that says they are out to kill you and your family. Are you going to throw the letter away? NOPE! I wouldn’t, I know God is my protector and I will find out as much information I can from my enemy. Once I figure out how to defeat my enemy…he’s gone.
This is no fairy tale. I’m going to find out everything I can about the enemy and how to destroy him from the root. Which it is really simple. He only can get to us through one way, and that is our minds. There is only one way to defeat him and that’s faith in God word, the power of Gods word. What do you think the anti Christ is going to be? He’s going to be a crazed man…who lost his noodles! That man is going to be evil…

I don't see how I can focus on demons. I know they would love us to not focus on God but they are very clever in how they do it. My way in getting to know the enemy, I read the word of God and meditate on scripture, then use it against him and watch him get mad HA HA HA HA lol. I enjoy getting to know the enemy and the tricks he pull on me. Gives me more reasons to read the word of God

Yes, but the flesh has no control over us. We are the one that decides what we are going to do or not do. Just like demon possesion. The flesh is evil, people of the flesh are not Gods children. If the flesh is evil and not of God...theres only one person left..and thats Satan

So Great Salvation by Charles Ryrie...excellent work that is a real blessing.

Basic Theology also by Dr. Charles Ryrie...a balanced work on the doctrines of the Bible with a clear teaching on satan & demons.

Biblical Demonology by Merril Unger...a comprehensive work on the demonolgy of the Old and New Testaments. It clearly shows that the same deception is still at work in the 21st century.
The bible tells us "Do not be overcome by evil; but overcome evil with good" God bless.
PS, All of these books have extensive Scriptural references and cross references.

Yes, but the flesh has no control over us. We are the one that decides what we are going to do or not do. Just like demon possesion. The flesh is evil, people of the flesh are not Gods children. If the flesh is evil and not of God...theres only one person left..and thats Satan

Alright, if you put it that way... then everybody is under the influence of satan. Because ever since Adam, humans have been tainted with sin... which came from satan.

What I am saying is; the sinful nature of humans causes a lot of the craziness in this world. We are not necessarily always being targeted specifically by demons... although we can be.

There are demons. But we can't always place blame on them. We need to take responsibility for our own actions. WE ultimately decide what choices to make. We need to be careful not to fall into "the devil made me do it" syndrome. We are all born into sin...it's our nature. The Demons just help it along from time to time.

The fact that drug addiction, mental illness, revenge & hatred exist does not mean that demons do not. I'm just saying that there are other factors at work, too.
