You can choose to ignore the signs. Hopefully others will regain their senses.Fortunately, none of that is happening. We are NOT anywhere close to being in a dictatorship.
How much do you want to bet they will double down on the radicalization of their policies? Push harder, and become more leftist. At this point, they are charting new ground. FDR and Kennedy would roll in their graves."The Democratic Party’s image has eroded to its lowest point in more than three decades, according to a new Wall Street Journal poll, with voters seeing Republicans as better at handling most issues that decide elections.
The new survey finds that 63% of voters hold an unfavorable view of the Democratic Party—the highest share in Journal polls dating to 1990 and 30 percentage points higher than the 33% who hold a favorable view."
And a concerted effort on the part of Conservatives to conflate the culture war sex stuff Left with the labor/economy Left,They began to and continue to decline by embracing and emphasizing what 85% of the population either oppose or simply do not support.
The problem is when perception doesn't match up with what's touted as reality. When people experience all of the problems associated with a bad economy, and there's a party telling them it's really a great economy despite their experiences to the contrary, they're going to see that as nonsense. As for the department of education, they see mismanagement having a negative impact on their children. For them it's a matter of seeing what DOE is actually doing and not not doing as opposed to what it's supposed to be doing.I can't say. I don't have access to the polling. I will tell you this though, the Dems are horrible at what the GOP is good at. And that's messaging. You can take the economy for example. It becomes perception vs reality. When a Dem is president, the economy pretty much does better. And one more thing. We Americans tend to get our information social media and podcasts and it's hurting us. I will give you an example. I was reading not too long ago where Trump et al wanted to shutter the Dept of Ed. In the Yahoo comment section is was clear from the comments that the vast majority who echoed that sentiment had no idea what the Dept of Ed actually did. Americans don't go the through the 5 whys before they vote, and It's kind of sad.
That's always been the case. Need I remind you of the words of Will Rogers? It's become perceived as a disorganized party
To-may-to, to-mah-to. There are many who call any policy they disagree with radical or extremist or crackpot. Hyperbole doesn't count for much in my book.of inept radical extremist crackpots.
How much do you want to bet they will double down on the radicalization of their policies? Push harder, and become more leftist. At this point, they are charting new ground. FDR and Kennedy would roll in their graves.
The reasons are pretty darn obvious and conservative have been saying it for years. Really makes you wonder about the people who actually still support the DNC after everything they have done or failed to do.What happened?
That's what I mean by perception. By the numbers the economy was good. What was bad was inflation. People would say, "well inflation was this under Trump". And that's where those 5 whys needed asking. But we don't do that. Inflation was bad on Biden and good under Trump because of the same issue. And BTW, you're making my case as people not understanding what the Dept of Ed does and does not do.The problem is when perception doesn't match up with what's touted as reality. The cost of living is the bottom line. That's what I mean by perception. By the numbers the economy was good. What was bad was inflation. People would say, "well inflation was this under Trump". And that's where those 5 whys needed asking. But we don't do that. Inflation was bad on Biden and good under Trump because of the same issue.
No, it's that they have come to understand why cuts are being made. And BTW, you're making my case as people not understanding what the Dept of Ed does and does not do.
One more time. The only "cost of living" thing on America's mind was inflation, and oddly enough the cost of eggs. Again, apply the 5 whys. And again, you are proving my point with the Dept of Ed.The cost of living is the bottom line.
No, it's that they have come to understand why cuts are being made.
What's on their mind is what they're paying for necessities. The 'oh but if you factor in the numbers and the 5 whys and the this and the that' routine isn't changing what they're paying for necessities. One more time. The only "cost of living" thing on America's mind was inflation, and oddly enough the cost of eggs. Again, apply the 5 whys.
Elaborate. And again, you are proving my point with the Dept of Ed.
The cuts were being made because the Dept.of Ed was seen as being "woke." None of the money saved will wind up in the pockets of any working man or woman. What's on their mind is what they're paying for necessities. The 'oh but if you factor in the numbers and the 5 whys and the this and the that' routine isn't changing what they're paying for necessities.
Elaborate.
Everyone pays for necessities. We're capitalists. If you do factor in the 5 whys of why inflation was low and got higher during covid, it would absolutely effect one's understanding ofWhat's on their mind is what they're paying for necessities. The 'oh but if you factor in the numbers and the 5 whys and the this and the that' routine isn't changing what they're paying for necessities.
Elaborate.
What people are paying for necessities right now is the bottom line. The lower it gets the more stratified they'll be. And if they keep experiencing reductions, much less a rebate check, the Democrats are in big trouble come election time.Everyone pays for necessities. We're capitalists. If you do factor in the 5 whys of why inflation was low and got higher during covid, it would absolutely effect one's understanding ofperceptionreality.
I said "No, it's that they have come to understand why cuts are being made".The Dept of Ed has basis tasks. It provided grants to Americans who can't afford the high cost of an American college education. It makes sure all kids have access to an education. It makes sure states that don't have enough funds to feed their kids a morning breakfast; do. ( guess which states those are majorly ). It does not educate American kids. States do that. But again to the average American they think just because the title is Dept of Ed, they are the ones doing the educating.
Again, you're making my point. If people don't understand what a agency does, then they won't understand why it's needed. What people are paying for necessities right now is the bottom line. The lower it gets the more stratified they'll be. And if they keep experiencing reductions, much less a rebate check, the Democrats are in big trouble come election time.
I said "No, it's that they have come to understand why cuts are being made".
You replied "And again, you are proving my point with the Dept of Ed."
The above doesn't elaborate on that claim, much less validate it.
This is rich after knowing the previous administration has been revealed as a shadow government propping up a front man with dementia who didn’t know who or where he was most of the time, and the use of the autopen to sign major documents and bills into law, among other things. Kinda makes one wonder how a party with that much baggage has the guts to claim that the GOP is taking a flamethrower to democracy. Especially as seeings we aren’t a democracy, we are a Constitutional Republic and the Supreme Court has verified that the actions being taken by this administration, for the most part, are in accordance to the Constitution. As the GOP takes a flame thrower to Democracy, Democratic leaders are writing "strongly worded letters" in opposition.
That's one of the reasons why the Dems have an unfavorable view of their party.
I said that they have come to understand why cuts are being made, which means they understand what the agency does, and therefore understand why certain things are not needed. What you're expressing is not knowing what's being cut and why, and possibly going with the usual hyperbole that they're only out to deprive kids and make them suffer because they want to give the money to the billionaires routine.Again, you're making my point. If people don't understand what a agency does, then they won't understand why it's needed.
There is nothing I can salvage out of here that even warrants a response. This is rich after knowing the previous administration has been revealed as a shadow government propping up a front man with dementia who didn’t know who or where he was most of the time, and the use of the autopen to sign major documents and bills into law, among other things.
