Hey all,

Just considering delusions of deity as a subject to take insight on tonight.

Does anyone have examples in history, made up senerios or even description of possible delusions deity creates as rulers may seek to use divine status to drive their rule?

Being of divine status and using things to become more powerful in mistaken ways can lead to tons of mishaps in life. Things that could effect everything around them.

Please share your thoughts or ideas on the subject. :)

Most cult leaders ascribe some measure of deity to themselves. Some religions teach we are gods or can become one through their path. Rulers have believed they were demigods or their appointment is a divine right. Others have a god complex and expect to be worshipped by their subjects.

We ourselves can make ourselves our own gods and try to be gods over others. But 1 Peter 5:3 says >

"nor as being lords over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock." (1 Peter 5:3)

But the real way that is great is to share with God, in His peace . . . obeying how He rules us in His own peace >

"And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful." (Colossians 3:15)
