Wow. This was the most gut-wrenching 100 minutes I have ever spent in front of a television. When the DVD ended I just stared at the screen for a good minute trying to digest all that I just took in.
For those of you who don't know, this is a documentary about a catholic priest who sexually abused dozens of children over a period of three decades. Even though it was reported, he was never fired from his job - rather he was moved to new locations where he hurt other people.
The documentary is really well done (it has a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes), but it is very hard to watch - especially the interviews with the families of the victims. It's so heartbreaking to see how these people lost their faith all because of the actions of a spiritual leader.
Anyone else see it? Thoughts?
