Obedience is not merely a question of a carnal sin nature, it is a question of will.
Sin entered because of disobedience.
Romans 5:19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners,
so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
Even after sin entered, it could be overcome by the force of will.
Genesis 4:7 If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted?
and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door.
And unto thee shall be his desire,
and thou shalt rule over him.
The Son of God took on flesh nature to be "in all points tempted, yet remain without sin",
which is by obedience, to overcome the flesh.
He overcame because His singular desire was to do His Father's Will.
Psalm 40:
6 Sacrifice and offering You did not desire;
My ears You have opened.
Burnt offering and sin offering You did not require.
7 Then I said, “Behold, I come;
In the scroll of the book it is written of me.
8 I delight to do Your will, O my God,
And Your law is within my heart.”
This is also called "the fear of God".
Psalm 36:1 The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart,
that there is no fear of God before his eyes.
We must overcome sin by the obedience of faith.
Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony,
and they did not love their lives to the death.
Hebrews 10:
5 Therefore, when He came into the world, He said:
Sacrifice and offering You did not desire,
But a body You have prepared for Me.
6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin
You had no pleasure.
7 Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come—
In the volume of the book it is written of Me—
To do Your will, O God.’
8 Previously saying, “Sacrifice and offering, burnt offerings,
and offerings for sin You did not desire,
nor had pleasure in them” (which are offered according to the law),
9 then He said, “Behold, I have come to do Your will, O God.”
He takes away the first that He may establish the second.
10 By that will we have been sanctified through the offering
of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
