  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

This is a GREAT recipe that I got from my schools FACS class. Enjoy!

-what you need
eggs
water
skillet
margarine or butter
spatula
bowl
fork or whisk
cheese(grated works best)
choice of meat cubed, sliced, cut, doesn't matter which kind. (cubed has worked well for me
any other toppings you like
measuring spoon

-directions
1. crack how ever many eggs you want into a bowl. (2 is for a normal size and 3 is if you have a big appetite or you are really hungry)
2. measure 1 tsp. of water for every egg you have and put it in with the eggs.
3. stir the eggs and water with the fork or whisk until it is a yellow liguid with no yolk left.
4. put a little margarine or butter onto your skillet and heat it up. Have the pan fully covered with melted butter.
5. when the butter in the pan is bubbling, pour the egg/water mix into the pan.
6. make sure all the runny parts on top of the egg are pushed to the side so it all gets cooked.
7. take your spatula and lift a side of the omelet off of the pan and look underneath it. when it looks browned but not burned, you can take it off the heat and put in your meat/cheese/whatever else you like.
8. ENJOY!!

If you have any questions just ask!

I hope you like the recipe!

I worked for awhile for a French Chef.

We always sauteed our fillings in the butter BEFORE adding the eggs. Then, once the eggs were added, we stirred with a spatula.

This incorporates your veggies/meat through-out the omelette.

When the bottom begins to brown, you FLIP the omelette, add cheese if you wish, and slide from the pan onto the plate, tipping pan enough to cause the omelette to fold over.

A 3-egg omelette done this way stands about 2" tall! :)

We made 'em with onion, green pepper & ham.. mushrooms.. even plain with the center filled with grape jelly, and topped with powdered sugar!

And ya oughta taste the French Toast!!
