  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

husband requested to work from home-he was denied
he has lots of meetings almost daily so is around people

virus is in our county & first person with it has been hospitalized

husband has a heart condition so he would be a higher risk person but he did not state that in his request

think he should be on safe side & take his vacation now even though we can't go anywhere
should I ask him to do that?

he has suggested taking temps or other precautions at work but they either don't care or don't believe this is real
this is a big place with over 400 employees

As more cases turn up, they will likely change their procedures.
EVERYbody has contact with high risk people, so just be cautious at work.

The problem with suggesting he take a vacation is that it is possible that this will get worse before it gets better. He may be wiser taking that vacation two weeks from now, or a month from now. We don't know when the risk for the virus will be at its peak. Taking a vacation now instead of later may put him at a higher risk.

The good thing though is, they are making progress. They are finding ways to treat this disease. We may see the end of this problem sooner than expected.

In that case see if he can get a note from the doctor suggesting he be isolated.

Yes, it's hard to fight those notes from doctors.

This would not be a good time for doctors to keep ones home for no good medical reason and I don't think that many would play that game.

Go to work and keep a safe distance.
Wash hands often.
Relax and trust in God.
