Also, it's not referring to a literal eye of a needle. That was what they called a gate at Jerusalem. Camels could fit through, but there wasn't much room. If they were loaded down with a lot of things, they had difficulty fitting with their load.
So, it's not as impossible as that Scripture sounds like because of our lack of cultural and historical knowledge.
.
The verse says.
Mat. 19:24
And again I say unto you,
It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle,
than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
Mark and Luke said it this way.
Mark 10:24,25
24) And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!
25) It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle,
than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
Luke 18:24 And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
Luk 18:25 For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
The rendering for all three verses say, (A Needle) as an object used in sewing, not (The) as a place (The Needle Gate).
The word Needle is Defined in all three renderings as.
NEEDLE:
G4476
ῥαφίς
rhaphis
hraf-ece'
From ῥάπτω rhaptō, a primary word, (to sew; perhaps rather akin to the base of G4474 through the idea of puncturing); a needle: - needle.
G4474
ῥαπίζω
rhapizō
hrap-id'-zo
From a derivative of ῥέπω rhepō, a primary word, (to let fall, “rap”); to slap (with the palm of the hand): - smite (with the palm of the hand).
Notice in Mark it says, " how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God"!
So it isn't just that someone has riches, it's those who trust in those riches.
