  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Im currently studying forensic accounting and fraud examination. Yet upon of me not doing so well in my accounting classes I wonder if I should go into forensic psychology? Or maybe something else. Numbers don't lie nor do the talk back ;). Which is why I like math. I mean if I applied myself a little bit harder I could do very well in anything I choose but my passion is gone. I know I like puzzles, and working things out in my head but I don't know if I should change it or stay with what I'm studying. Ideas?:help:

As someone who's changed her major (multiple times), here's some advice.

A very important thing to consider is how changing your degree will affect graduation. Will it put you behind? If it does, can you afford the extra time you'll have to spend in school?

If you truly dislike what you're studying right now and can't bear to think about pursuing a career in that field, you should probably switch. If it's just a matter of being burnt out by your classes, I would think about it a little more. If you're an underclassmen and these are like pre-req accounting classes you're taking, keep in mind that they're only pre-reqs. As you move along in college, your classes will become more applied to your field and hopefully more enjoyable.
But if you are an upperclassman and these are your core major classes you dislike, that might be slightly more of a problem.

Ultimately you're the only one that can make the decision best for you, but I hope that helps a bit. Good luck! :)
