I'm curious as to why you pick the beating of the heart as an indicator. I'd think that the presence of brain waves would make more sense.

I am a Pro-Lifer, but not for religious reasons. If I followed Christian morality as depicted in the Bible, the selective killing of people, and injustices upon humankind by "God's People" would weigh on my mind.

The law seems a bit inconsistent in placing value on the unborn life, for instance, if a pregnant woman is murdered, it's double murder, but if she aborts the unborn child, it's suddenly not a life anymore...
