I watched to movie last night, and the things that I enjoyed the most were the parts that were true, like the council that met around 300ad that chose what to include and exclude from doctrine.

Well I know many people want to see this. But I have also seen that eventhough it is "fiction" they are trying to make it seem like the truth. And there are many people who are really starting to question Christianity. Many people feel that this will turn many people away and/or against Christianity.

If you go into a store and start looking at books there are many about this stuff now. Some just come out and say "what if everything you have ever been taught about Christianity is a lie?"

Like I said in my first post... the bible says that in the end days many people will believe a lie. I feel that this is that lie. That Jesus did not lead a sinless life. I think we are already in those end days... and a lot of people are being deceived by the evil one. Of couse they will argue about that... because people don't know when they are being deceived! They think what they are being fed is the truth. And I feel this movie is dangerous to Christianity. Why would you even wanna make something like this? A true Christian would never make a movie that portrays that Jesus fathered a son and lied and kept it secret. It's blasphemous!

Oh well... There are just people who are gonna fire back at me. But what can I do besides just try to get my opinion out there.

Eh, if anyone questions their faith after watching this dull, Ron Howard wanna-be epic, then they didn't have faith in the first place.

It's just a movie. And not a very good one, to boot.

Although, I find it especially ironic that one of the themes of the movie is the suppression of the real "truth" by the Catholic church, and here you have all these protests and calls for boycotts. You can't pay for that kind of marketing...

Are you serious? A religion that has existed for 2000 years and has survived all sorts of political and religious conflict is going to be threatened by a popcorn flick by Ron Howard (and Dan Brown I suppose)? You give the man too much credit.
