If you would like to know more about these truths I've written two books "Nehemiah the Sabbath Reformer" and "Exploring the Heavenly Sanctuary" which cover both doctrines.

Nehemiah rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem under intense persecution, which is a spiritual lesson of how God's moral law will be rebuild under pressure, especially the biggest hole - the Sabbath.

The sanctuary is the key to the great controversy, we need to know if it is a real place and what its purpose is, especially as it reveals Jesus, our merciful High Priest who ever intercedes for us (Heb. 7:25).

If you have any questions about these doctrines please post them.

God Bless

Hi Marc,

They sound like very good books. Are they an easy read and where can I get them?

I wanted to add, that my book support the official doctrines of the church. In the book of the sanctuary I've defended the doctrine just using Scripture which I think is important. I do believe in Ellen White, but we need to be able to defend what we believe from the Bible alone, as Ellen White said we should.

The books answer questions about Hebrews 4, Colossians 2, the reality of the heavenly temple, and so on, all the important issues.

The e-book version of "Nehemiah the Sabbath Reformer" will be available free to download from Amazon from April 8-12 (starting 12am PST, ending 11:59pm PST).

In today's society when people are being squeezed to work all sort of hours, they need the Sabbath more than every before. But the move to bring in Sunday laws is misguided as it has no Biblical basis. The moral law is like a wall in which holes have been made, the biggest being the Sabbath. But to fill the hole with a man made day is like filling a hole with untempered mortar as Ezekiel said. It will not stand the test of time but will collapse. The wall can only be rebuilt with the right material.

I agree; demonstrating our belief from the Bible first is essential. I am sure that under fair use provisions you could atleast post excerpts from your book/s here, in making a point under discussion in this topic.

I would be interested to hear if you have correlated the various points of the sanctuary doctrine with this one, over-riding principle?
There is one great central truth to be kept ever before the mind in the searching of the Scriptures--Christ and Him crucified. Every other truth is invested with influence and power corresponding to its relation to this theme. . . . The soul palsied by sin can be endowed with life only through the work wrought out upon the cross by the Author of our salvation. {FLB 50.2}
I would be quite interested in excerpts from your book/s that would use this principle, in establishing Christ as the central point of the sanctuary or Sabbath doctrine. :)

The book can be read online through Google Preview, there is a link on my website. You can also read or download a preview of the book.

Its fair to say that the whole Levitical system had Christ at the centre, pointing to the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. And also it points to Christ's work as our High Priest.

When one studies the sanctuary doctrine, it does reveal Christ, our sinfulness and need of atonement.

True; I like the way Ellen White describes it in DA "In every part of it was a symbol of Him." She was talking about the sanctuary. it really is interesting to study into that. :)

I know that when I first came into the Adventist church (off of an Amazing Facts seminar), our beginner Sabbath School class started with a study of the wilderness sanctuary. We were broken up into study groups that would each take a part of the sanctuary each week and study it and bring back to the class what we had found. And it is true...every part of it points to Christ...down to even the materials chosen. If you have never done a thorough study I would definitely recommend it. I try to go through a refresher study of it at least once a year. It truly brings you to an understanding of the life and mission of Jesus. An makes my heart thankful for all He has done and is doing for me personally.
