What would you say to an athiest or preterist who used time statements against you? For example they might say Jesus said he would come soon in Revelations, or that Revelations was suppose to be fullfillment "shorty." Please help!

'they've' been attacking the truth, or even honestly questioning it, ever since, well, ever..... (or at least a good long time).

simply reply with what is written, reply with what Scripture says is true. that's all. as Yhwh, God, the Creator, gives you words to speak.

You can refer to the expelling of demons into pigs example.

Matthew 8:29 And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?

Hold to the Gospel truth and don't be trying to debate such as Revelation. If one does not want the Savior and redemption truth, that one will not accept anything about the Book of Revelation.

2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

Never argue with unbelievers. Be aware that all their questions and excuses are only used to avoid having to deal with the claims of Christ. Your business is to make them do business with Christ. You must get them focused on Christ not on things. Even if you have to admit that you don't have an answer for them get them back to Christ. You don't have to have all the answers and the more you try to answer the more questions they will throw in your way. It is a guard mechanism that they use to keep from dealing with their sin and Christ.

On the contrary, always have an answer ready.

It is always good to confess the son.
Why? So you can exercise your intellect and impress them? Nonsense. As I said their questions are only a ruse to keep from actually dealing with Christ. The more you answer the more they ask.
