Defending baby's due date?

I wouldn't listen to them. Babies come when they are ready. I had comments about my "Halloween baby" and it's like uh...does that effect all October babies. November babies got Thanksgiving right? Are March babies for St. Patrick's Day? Seriously...

What downers!! Tell them that they now have no excuse to forget your child's birthday My husband was born on Christmas eve. His parents decided to celebrate his birthday on St. Patricks day, which is the half way mark and it is also his name! He always got his favorite cake on Christmas Eve with a card but got gifts on his half way birthday. That is an idea!!!!

Exactly! It's sad that everyone immediately thinks of a major holiday instead of the birth of a child. It's the consumerist way of this world, I think. It didn't even occur to me when I calculated Dec 12th or so that it was close to Christmas. I was/am too excited to be pregnant in the first place!
