This feature in today's paper says it all! Scientists are going back 535 million years, to what they call the "Cambrian Explosion" in evolution to find new ways of combatting terrorism, and finding new methods of defence.

I imagine creationists will be happy to have their lives made safer by this use of evolution, even if they don't believe in it!

Twincrier, did you actually read the article? No-one is saying evolution causes terrorism. Scientists are using evolution to help them devise ways of countering terrorism!

Of course terrorism is caused by sin. We are not talking about the causes, but the defences. And scientists are using examples from evolution 535 million years ago to help them.

Terrorism isn't caused by evolution, it's caused by sin. The Muslim/Jewish warmongering can be explained perfectly in the bible.

First off, you didn't capitalize "Bible".

Secondly, terrorists aren't attacking us here because the Arab-Israeli conflict and the insurgents aren't attacking us in Iraq because of the Arab-Israeli conflict.

You're just wrong.

Interesting idea, but I think money could be better spent. Even the article itself indicates that this is a far stretch.

"It's ambitious, but worth a try."
"Unfortunately, we are likely to have a string of unsuccessful prototypes before we hit on an effective, usable program. Why? The problem is that the system is dependent on receiving all the relevant data needed to reach a decision, and at the moment, we simply do not know what the data are. But we will get there."

And for the record the article doesn't even touch on man evolving from a prehistoric ape. It is dealing with how species adapt over time. Adaptation is easily seen, unlike there being a prehistoric evolved man, unless you have a good imagination.

Ok let me get this straight, they intend on using something they think happened 540 million years ago to tell them what is going to happen in the future. ..........................................Once again just to make sure we have all the facts correct, what they think happened 540 million years ago will tell them what they can think is going to happen tommorow. So now evolution is going to predict the future couldnt we just save money and call Miss Chleo. I just hope it's more accurate than the weather man I would hate for us to bomb someone because there is a 75% chance of rain.:prayer:

Firts, the word bible doesn't need to be capitalized in the English language unless it is the beginning of the sentence.
Second, if I am wrong please explain why. I believe there is a rule in the debate forum as to making claims with no info to back it up. Arab terrorists are attacking the US because of our pro-zionist policies.
