Are Christians afraid of being vulnerable?
Definitely. Most people are extremely anxious of sharing deep feelings, faith, hopes, fears, prayers. For the few of us who recognise the need, it is an uphill struggle to find others to share with.

Are we too busy; have we forgotten James 5:16?
Yes, it would seem so.
Trying to arrange meetings between prayer partners, triplets, even the church prayer gathering, seems to be very difficult, and in my church it's not even an issue that's mentioned or encouraged.
Most people seem to have time to go to the cinema, out for a meal, playing/watching sport, T.V., computer, hobbies etc.
The truth is, we all do what we want to do as much as we can.
Maybe if those who never tried it before were to give spiritually edifying relationships a chance, even for a few weeks, they'd be hooked.
Maybe they would want to keep it up.
But sadly it seems that most people don't want to overcome their fears or drop anything else to try it.
In western society, where we are measured by what we do and what we earn, it's a matter of survival for most people. Even being a Christian, with a call to different values, doesn't make us immune to the pull of the society around us.
I pray for your friends, that God will bring His people together for His glory to be shown among them. I'm currently praying for a partner myself too.
God bless, Susana
