  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Hey! Good news! We all screwed up every blessing God has ever given us, and God keeps giving us blessings anyway.

He knows we are screw-ups, that's why He made a plan of salvation that didn't have anything to do with us! If it depended on us, we'd screw that up, too.

Cheer up! It's when you realize that you keep screwing up that you can sit at the foot of the cross and really appreciate what Christ did for you there. It's only the screw-ups that can get saved. The people who don't screw up can't go to Christ for forgiveness and restoration. The people who have a lot to be forgiven for love God more than people who never screw up.

Knowing that you are a screw up is a giant blessing, not a curse. I love you, and God loves you, too.

I screw up all the time...it used to really get me down, but now I just take things in stride. What really helps is prayer (of course), and just taking a step back, mentally and emotionally, and letting God direct you step by step. It can be hard, but He'll always be there to guide you!

And praying! Jesus loves you, even when you (and I!) screw up. He is there to pick up the pieces, offering forgiveness and restoration and is ready to start over again, with a clean slate. How great is that? Hallelujah, what a Savior!

I found this great poem:

The Cross

It's on our knees,
Beneath this awesome, odd tree
that we first find peace.

No matter what it is, take it to the cross, and you will find peace.
