Hempstead, Tx. My family is from there. NW of Houston. I'm one of the first generations of my family not to be born in Texas.

Been there many times.... lucky you aren't up a ways or you would be in college station and you'd be excited to watch paint dry.... oh or be an Aggie both about as meaningful.

I can't think of a single person in my family not born in Texas, except for when they came over here from Scotland, Ireland and Germany to eventually make the mutt that is Toro. So I know what ya mean.
