In context of the first century and Paul to the Corinthians, is a sense of decency and order that is Spirit Filled and not somber reverence as under the later to come Catholic, Orthodox and Protestant churches. Changing back to Spirit Filled in revivals and awakenings still later, not in each church's case. I am sure the somber reverence and discipline, so removed from the gifts of the Spirit... was not what God recognized as His. The discernment of the inquisition, the RCC seems to regret some of. Putting people to death, like Hus and then the church goer's anger with the other types, in the thirty years war, the discernment of the witch hunts, such nonsense, it looks Pharisaical.

No that is not God's decency and order. God, does not use ploys to be popular with Pharisees and religious people. God just goes ahead and throws a love feast, a party, and believers go home warmed at heart, sinners are cleaned, the sick are healed. Looking at John Wesley's works, the Azusa st revival, the CCR, The Blessing of the Father's heart, Brownsville and RH Browne, God wants messages and inner healing and transformation. Strengthening, and empowerment, encouragement, grace and Truth, words of knowledge, wisdom and blessing, not sitting perfectly still until one gets home.

1 Corinthians 14:26-29 and 39-40.
26How is it then, brethren? Whenever you come together, each of you has a psalm, has a teaching, has a tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation. Let all things be done for [h]edification. 27If anyone speaks in a tongue, let there be two or at the most three, each in turn, and let one interpret. 28But if there is no interpreter, let him keep silent in church, and let him speak to himself and to God. 29Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others judge.
39Therefore, brethren, desire earnestly to prophesy, and do not forbid to speak with tongues. 40Let all things be done decently and in order.
