Liars, liars, all around
Join their circus
Hear their clown
He’s their idol
Of renown

He’s their piper
Follow him
Mesmerizing
With a grin
Stupefying
Half past ten

Winsome he is
Folks adore
Put their idol
To the floor
They keep coming
Back for more

They don’t get it
What’s in store
Still their idol
They adore
They won’t hear it
Still, they snore

This reminds me of a dream I had a few years ago. The people were marching in pairs in formation like soldiers. Except their heads were turned sidewards gazing on the deception. They were mesmerized and never looked away. It’s nearly impossible to remain in that position without stumbling. They reminded me of zombies. Perhaps they were spiritually dead.

I remember watching the path wind around and it disappeared into nothingness. It was a road leading nowhere. I thought of the pied piper.

Thank you, Bella. Glory to God. Yes, exactly! I had one similar to that not recent, maybe last year or older. That is how deception works and there are so many deceived. It is heartbreaking.
