CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

All of us change in a period of 5 years, but I see your point. Half a decade ago, I used to be more liberal, but since the stuff (read: Woke Olympics ceremony, gender bending stuff) that has happened over the past few years and months, I have moved to the center and may be voting 3rd party.x.com

We all change but if we do we can articulate the reasons for the change, and should be asked to when changes are so extreme and would affect public policy.
If she doesn't articulate the reasons why she's changed all her main policy positions then it's just called lying for votes and the public needs to be informed of what they are actually voting for.

I agree with you 100% about how we must state the reasons why we change. Kamala did none of that. She did not articulate the reason why she changed her viewpoint.
For myself, the reasons why I have changed from liberal to centrist over the period of 2020 to 2024 is because the Democrats no longer represent a party that cares for the underdogs. They only care about Big Tech, LGTV+ agenda and pushing woke ideology onto kids more than helping the poor or homeless. What about people that are Christian? The Democrats do not care much about freedom of religion, as some states can take (read: kidnap) one's own children away for not recognizing the preferred pronoun junk.
