For the sake of argument, both. At the time, there was no Roman Catholic Church or Orthodox Church. It was just the Church. The two were one.so, once again I ask....which 'church' preserved and put the books together? EO or Catholic?? You both claim the same thing right? So tell me...please..
Excuse me, but there are hundreds of saints in both Roman Catholic and Orthodox Churches whose bodies did not corrupt for years and years.I didn't find it good, there is no other body raised to incorruptible but that of Jesus,
Mm-hmm. And it was at that time we were both One so in a way, it was both the East and the West who put the Bible together. For the sake of argument, both. At the time, there was no Roman Catholic Church or Orthodox Church. It was just the Church. The two were one.
Although at the same time someone could argue neither.
There is only one incorrubtalbe seed. And that is Christ.
God took Him Yes He did now read in scripture where Elijah has to come before Christ. Read about the second coming of Christ. We see that John came in the Spirit and Power of Elijah. We have two witnesses that we see God sends in the tribulation. Before the glorious coming of our Lord. What happens to these two witnesses? They die. God raises them from the dead in three days.2 Kings 2:11 And Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.
Seems his body didn't corrupt but went straight to Heaven.
I have no clue what you just said or what you are trying to say IamAdopted.God took Him Yes He did now read in scripture where Elijah has to come before Christ. It is all written in scripture.I have no clue what you just said or what you are trying to say IamAdopted.![]()
Scripture was already written Repentant. It took quite a while for all the letters to be gathered. There was much contraversy over what would go in and what wouldn't go in. It had to be authenticated. This took much study and prayer I would assume. But it is God who put His word together. For it is God who is faithful. God will use any means to get His word out to His people. We see this in all scripture. Many books were not added to the cannon for reasons. The CC and I don't know if the Ortho have these in their bibles. I have read some. I agree they just don't line up with the other scripture. there are spiritual err and historical err in them. So I will stick with the 66 books.
God did this through the wisdom of the Holy Spirit. God authored His word and also gave man the wisdom to put His word together. For to God be the Glory. Yay God and not Yay man. For God is faithful to an unfaithful generation. That's the point, who do you think did this..?
You believe, it is a Church that can corrupt God's Word now so where is your proof it did not corrupt the Written Word of God then? Do you honestly believe God can use men to infallibly put together His Written Word yet He cannot do the same when they join in Councils?God did this through the wisdom of the Holy Spirit. God authored His word and also gave man the wisdom to put His word together. For to God be the Glory. Yay God and not Yay man. For God is faithful to an unfaithful generation.
Yes but what I am saying is why you somehow conclude that the Written Word was kept yet His Oral Transmission was not through men. And please don't tell me because you see it in Scriptures since that alone is your interpretation on a feeling God is leading you in it. Cause when the Church put the Scriptures together, and if it contradicted their teachings, then it would never have made it in the final Canon. What I am saying is Yay God and not YaY man. For it is God that made sure His written word was collected and placed in what we call the scriptures. For it was from the counsel of the Lord and not of Man.
Pretty much. So really, neither can say the other had absolutely no part in the canonizing whatsoever because the two were one.Mm-hmm. And it was at that time we were both One so in a way, it was both the East and the West who put the Bible together.![]()
Well then something has changed along the way.Yes but what I am saying is why you somehow conclude that the Written Word was kept yet His Oral Transmission was not through men.
