1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 (Don’t just sit there! Look it up.)

K. Do you get it? This verse is saying that we shouldn’t be upset when
someone dies but have hope. When I first read just verse 13 I thought “That sounds really hard!” God expects us to grieve...that’s how he designed us. But he doesn’t want us to grieve forever. He wants us to be joyful that he or he’s pain is gone and that soon we will see them in heaven.
SOON. Remember, in heaven, our life times are like a second. So don’t worry about your loved one’s being lonely without you (like I did when my grandparents died) because as soon as they get up to heaven, in the snap of a finger, you will too. Rawk on.

Yeah i kinda felt that way too but i know like you said that we will be with them later

unless you have experienced the death of a loved one....you can't possibly understand that this verse doesn't provide the comfort that you want it to.
