Death of a friend's son

Just got off the phone with another member of my Small Group that I belong to (we meet between church services).

The Group Leader Ben, his son, who is also named Ben was killed tonight in a motocycle wreck.

Our pastor is at the hospital right now with Ben and his wife. They have a daughter who has special needs and is not taking doing well about teh death of her brother. I dont know her name.

Am requesting prayer for the family and for the pastor that as he helps them in this time of need.

I'm so sorry to hear that. How difficult that has to be.

Father God, You know of this accident and You know how this family is hurting with the loss of a son and brother. Lord, please bring comfort to them. Please help them through all the upcoming plans, the funeral, the whole process, Lord. You know what it's like to lose a Loved one and how difficult it is. Thank You for Your great compassion, Lord, and for helping this family and pastor through this tragedy. I pray for the pastor. Please use him as a vessel and speak through him, that he may have words of encouragement for them. Please be with this boy's friends also, and bring comfort to them. Lord, please be with his sister who is also taking this hard. Please comfort her and help her through this, God. Thank You for never leaving nor forsaking us! In Jesus' mighty name I pray, Amen.

Our Redeemer, Our Protector of Souls, Sweet Merciful Jesus. We give praise to you, you are our awesome God. Please heavenly Father reach out your arms to this family who are in dire need of your warmth, your protection, your love. Father God, please bring them comfort in their time of grief. Please let them be surrounded by many friends and family who will provide them room for mourning, for consoling, who will assist them in these hours, days and weeks to come. Holy Spirit of our Living Water who gives us our daily bread, we sometimes walk in the valley of death and sorrow - please be our light through it at all times. In Your Name. Amen.

Father in Heaven, please comfort this family and all their friends during this time of mourning. Draw them closer to you during this hard time. Please forge them together and may his parents' marriage always be stronger as a result. Please bring them times of joy, hope and peace. Please be with this boy's sister. Please give her a supernatural awareness, vision or understanding about her brother so she will be comforted. Please help her to understand you and believe in the love of Jesus despite some of her mental issues. Please somehow let the light of Jesus shine during this dark time. Please let your Holy Spirit move and may many people somehow become Christians because of the passing of this boy. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

Father in Heaven, please also fill the pastor with the Holy Spirit and let every word that comes out of his mouth and every action he takes be from You. Spark a new fire of passion in the pastor as well for seeing souls saved! Light a fire for him to share Jesus absolutely everywhere he goes -- from the gas station to the halls of the hospital. Give him powerful messages on grief and hope and salvation that will spark a revival in this church. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

Dear Jesus please bring comfort to this family. Please help them through this horrible time. Bless each one in a special way. Hold them in Your loving arms and ease their pain. Please help the sister and the mother and dad. Lord surround them with loving people who can continually lift them up in prayer. Please please help the pastor have the wisdom and understanding to help them. In Jesus Name Amen

I want to express my appreciations to all who have prayed for Ben and his family.

yesterday at church, our Pastor was teling us that while their son was in the emergency room, they (Ben and his wife) besides comforting each other and praying fro His will, they were comforting the friends of their son that were there and ministering to their hearts (spiritually - some of the friends are not saved and this bike wreck shook up some of them).
