Death Note

I've been watching the anime since last year. It's definitely one of my favorites, it's getting really tense now in the anime haha.


I haven't really read much of the manga, if anything.

I refuse to watch the movies, they sway too far from the actual storyline and they're horrible, I heard

Tatsuya Fujiwara (from Battle Royale) just looks too innocent to play Light.

I haven't seen the movie, but from the trailers that was my first impression as well. He just doesn't have the right... intensity? to play Light.
As for the anime, I love it to bits Excellent, excellent stuff. Although, after the certain L-related incident the story did seem to loose its focus for a bit, I thought. It looks to be getting back on track though (we're on episode 31, right?)

yeah, just proves the popularity of Death Note. The anime is still out and already, they've made a movie out of it, and it's not animated, it's real action using real actors!

I myself haven't seen the anime though. I don't like the style of animation and the plot itself seems creepy (not discounting the anime. It's good, but it just doesn't fit my taste).
