  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I didn't like Near, because he seemed to be almost an exact copy of L. It was pretty much like they switched L for a younger version of him. Seemed a little pointless.

See, I feel like they divided L in half with those two... Near inherited his analytical mind and patient long term planning (along with his childlike innocence) whereas Mello inherited his aggressive drive and his daring (such as challenging Kira on national television or approaching him at university); plus his love of sweets.

You know, I sorta liked watching Death Note on Netflix in the living room, but then I realized that all those shinigami gods have crazy devil-ish looks that I'm afraid my mom, if she catches me watching that, would beat the crap outta me, saying some stuff about satanic cartoons or something.

Then I stopped watching the anime :)

It is down to your own convictions and what you believe is right. If you feel God would not want you to read/watch Death Note then don't but if it just someone else's conviction being forced on you and you don't have a problem with it then feel free to watch/read as much as you wish. :)

I haven't watched the whole series or read all of the manga yet, but I consider myself a new fan of Death Note. I'm almost finished reading Vol. 1 of the manga, and I had seen up to episode four of the anime. It's very interesting storytelling.
