  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Death and Speed.

My Dad has had cancer for the past 9 months, subsequent to having been "cured" of it two years earlier. He is on the last month of the estimated life span he was given, and he is bedridden and no longer himself. He is impossible to hear most of the time, has no mind, and is trying hard to hang on when all it does its hurt my Mom, him, and myself. The doctors say his liver is failing and he has begun to swell up due to his heart weakening. He comes home from the hospice today to stay here so he can die with his family. I would pray that he dies this week. It's nothing but suffering and torment the longer he lives, not only for him, but for those who must watch him decline so. Please pray that he goes before Christmas, or before the 29th, and that he doesn't go on Christmas day.

Praying for you and your family. May your father be released from his suffering and join our Father in Heaven. May God be with you during this difficult time. I am so sorry you have to lose your father at such a young age. May God grant you peace.

God Bless,
Charity
