Did you mean with or without? With destroying the original (as in Star Trek), it is a killing machine, without it is a duplicator.

I would not use the term 'murder', as that implies unlawful killing. In the Star Trek universe, transporting/teleportation humans is legal. Duplication (from what I gather) was only by accident.
