  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I have been seeking God all my life, but the scientist in me has kept Him at bay. Also, I grew up as a Catholic, which didn't help me much. I simply couldn't accept something I didn't have a solid proof on, so I finally gave up on Him. I had it all, yet my life felt so empty. Then, on July 30th, Jesus finally gave me the proof I so desperatelly needed. We had a night long conversation and He explained everything I needed to know.

Since then He has answered one prayer after another. He has, at my request, cured me of smoking (cigarettes AND weed) after 10 years of addiction. He helped me to such a degree that the next day and on, I could sit in a room full of smokers and not even get a craving. I tried to quit before by myself, but couldn't do it. And that is just the tip of the iceberg. God is amazing!!!

Hi Bruno and welcome.  To the forums and the family of God.  I know what you mean about the cigarettes.  God delivered me of smoking cigarettes (4 packs a day) and marijuana.  Praise Him for His grace and mercy! :bow:
