Dealing with Shame

My OCD tends to fire up a lot especially whenever I sin. It's really hard to deal with it, because, just like any other human, I'm a hopeless sinner.

Recently, I masturbated and at it's "point", I had a thought in my mind that I was somehow trading in my own salvation for that moment of "release".

Now, I'm afraid that I just lost it. Is any of this real? Did I lost it?

Will making this post cost my salvation?

just think that when you're doing it, your reward isn't now its in heaven. the reward you get in heaven is unimaginable compared to the reward you get when you touch

If that were the case - few will be in Heaven. Stop beating yourself up so much and just turn to Jesus.I don't know if it is a sin,but if you feel convicted, just repent and move ahead - Sin is sin, no little and no big - they are all forgiven if we seek repentence.

That's true - i really mean when you indulge in something short term. It happens, we're sinners, but the more you discipline yourself, the better human you will be. I mean the more you work on it. Instead of saying oh i just need to do it this one time - say Jesus died for me. I know its so damn hard and frustrating and annoying and i don't do it everytime i want something but its worth a try once in a while and then you work yourself up.

and i know that making the post won't cause you your salvation because your reaching out to others for help. you're not perfect, you are trying very hard to be a good person. Its very hard. And the OCD is the devil trying to make you think you will lose your salvation

Well, if you can lose your salvation over masturbation, then I wouldn't expect to see many males in heaven... Masturbation is like any other sin, forgiven when you accepted Christ. Just because you had a thought out of fear and guilt doesn't mean that that has changed.

Hey it may not be easy but try to quit masturbating. Rely on on God to help you. God will help you give up anything that isnt healthy in your life. I have struggled in the past but He is always there to pick us up. pm me anytime
