lololololololololol

I saw the title of this thread being about presumptuous arrogant know-it-alls, and I came here to see what you are saying about me.

Yeah, I'd say each person is unique; so how you deal with each arrogant person is different. I would say pray so you are ready for how God makes the way.

I have been into knowledge, not for being right about beliefs, but mainly in order to get attention and status and reputation for being a minister. I thought the whole world needed to hear me on TV.

But my knowledge kept telling me I needed to get a clue how to love.

And there were certain people in churches who knew how to relate with me. I could see that how they related was how I needed to become in loving people. So, examples helped me a lot.

Ones would listen to me, for a while. And one might say something very simple to confirm something right that I said. And how they were with me would stay with me. Now I think they knew they had sown their seeds and it would not be in vain.

And I would say they prayed for me :) Looking to God for all He can do, and how.

I think God did give me a lot of knowledge, but getting that knowledge did not mean I was smart, but it meant I was stupid and so I needed it!!

But it did not make me smart.

"And if anyone thinks that he knows anything, he knows nothing yet as he ought to know." (1 Corinthians 8:2)

"to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God." (Ephesians 3:19)

"So, yes you sow your example, and trust God to do what only He can do; there is no cookie-cutter method."

I'm able to retain most of what I read and for the most part learn things quickly. It works marvelously for many things, but I realize the futility in worldly knowledge, and am so glad that God has given me the ability to see my faults along with being humble. My exposure to a bunch of people who seemingly knew everything has definitely made me not want to ever be like them. It was a living nightmare but like most bad things they usually result in better character.
