Dealing with infatuation

How do I deal with an infatuation which is taking over my every moment and thought life? I find it so hard to trust God and His timing when all I want is a relationship.

I fear the only ways to do it are finding someone else to be interested in, or to find qualities about the person which make him undesirable. Prayer always helps. Some here are going to suggest various distraction techniques, but I think they're nothing more than a short-term solution.

So does God. All He wants is His churchbride (people) to be faithful to Him. Perhaps He is trying to tell you something? Ask Him about these consuming thoughts.
