  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I fear the only ways to do it are finding someone else to be interested in, or to find qualities about the person which make him undesirable. Prayer always helps. Some here are going to suggest various distraction techniques, but I think they're nothing more than a short-term solution.

Don't worry you aren't the only one on here infatuated with me. The good news is you learn i'm just like everybody else, but it takes time I know.

How do I deal with an infatuation which is taking over my every moment and thought life? I find it so hard to trust God and His timing when all I want is a relationship.

So does God. All He wants is His churchbride (people) to be faithful to Him. Perhaps He is trying to tell you something? Ask Him about these consuming thoughts. :) :yellowheart:

I think one way to deal with this is by learning to do the opposite of infatuation which is love. Shameless plug for one of my blog posts, but here is a write-up on the very subjective.
