I equate not sinning with boring because it would be a lot funner for all of us if we could have sex all day and do drugs and not worry about anything.

You can't tell me that you wouldn't enjoy having sex all day....

of course you probably wouldn't enjoy it in the sense that you would know that you are sinning against God and you would feel terrible for it... but me as a 16 year old have a different point of view... these things are a bit harder to deal with when you are my age.
Mate, when you are judged and given the truth on sexual sin, you will weep and gnash your teeth. Its not fun...

It's a tough thing when in highschool (and out of highschool of course)

The reason I turned to Christianity was large in part to fear of being condemned to hell...who wouldn't be afraid of that. It's not a bad thing to be turned to Christianity by fear of hell, but to continue to be a Christian only because of that is not right.
Doesn't sound like good news (gospel):

Mark 16
15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Matthew 11
5 The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

Why do you think it hurts you so much to think of others(the majority of the human race) in hell suffering and how long would God put up with this?

What peace and joy will you have:

Galatians 5
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

knowing those you have been commanded to truly love are suffering forever?

Matthew 5
44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

No I wouldn't say that. God doesn't desire to save all, or else all would be saved. God has the desire to save those who will be saved, Jesus turns away the wrath of God from the elect, the Holy Spirit changes the hearts of the elect.

Do you believe that everyone is going to heaven?

Do you believe that sin is worth eternal punishment and suffering in hell forever?

As the Holy Spirit gives me more peace, joy, thanksgiving, patience, self-control, etc. I find that MUCH more rewarding than the desires of the flesh. There is no guilt, fear, escaping, etc. I did not think this way when i was younger. Now, I find the desires of the flesh to be less rewarding than the fruits of the spirit.

Paul disagreed:

1 Timothy 2
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

No, I think we'll all be staying on earth

2 Peter 3
13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

No. Death is the payment for sin.

Romans 6
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Christ is the resurrection for all:

1 Corinthians 15
22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

Why would He resurrect people (who are already separated from God by death), to simply torment them forever? Doesn't sound very loving...

Do you still have peace and joy, knowing those you have been commanded to truly love will suffer forever?

Joy gives us the ability to endure sorrow because there is hope. I can do nothing about those who refuse to believe. I feel intense pain because of it. Their hearts are hard. But my pain is in vain. Most of the people I've encountered who are going to hell have told me they are very proud of that fact. The ones who are not proud of it, will seek heaven. Thus, God's plan is fair and just. People are getting what they want.

You know what I mean g4m. I just turned 16, everyone around me is having a lot of fun but I am stuck at home. I know I need to keep strong until the end. It's just a lot tougher in adolescense because of what everyone else around you is doing. I know what I need to do, and i am not going to mess this up. No booze, no drugs, no pornography, no swearing, etc.

It's true. When you come to Christianity you will trade your hapiness for sorrow.

I would say that our closest loved ones that might be eternally punished is pretty sorrowful. But you cannot dwell on that thought all your life and just sit in the corner crying. We have to get out there and do something about it.

Christ did not die for you to regret that you cant rejoice in the world of sin. He died so you can rejoice in the joy of your salvation. Do you understand grace and what the bible is about? You are a slave when you are controlled by the ways of the world.

As for the second part Amen!

Lets get on the battlefield

I agree, Preston. But it's hard to do something. I've been blasted on the Non-Christian/Christian categories and i am not blasted on the Christians-only categories. One can only take so much blasting.

Yeah I know what you mean. But I think we just need to focus on friends and family...but even that can be very hard.

It's not like all you ever think about is the sorrow. There is a time for that, and a time for rejoicing.

When I found out the truth.. "the path is narrow and few will..." reach the end? or be saved? I can't remember the end, but the gist of it is that not a large percentage of the people in this world will make it.

I thought of all hte great people I know that were not Christian that are heading down a bad road and will probably never turn back... that is the sorrowful part. But it's not like that's all I think about, you know?
