When will the member in question be dealt with? The guidelines speak of dealing with a member who makes the forum experience miserable for other members.... He has been allowed to return and file petty reports... will he be dealt with? Or must we be harassed daily?

I have recieved a two point infraction as a result of Woob's report spree and, even though they contained nothing but complete truth, had 10 posts censored and deleted. So much for free speech in our area.

Woob has not had one thing done to him and remains free to wreak his putrid havoc all across our subforum. The tally now stands at two threads locked because of him, more surely to come.

What a complete farce.

If the SDA mods want to prove they have any backbone whatsoever, they will deal with Woob accordingly and ban him from the Prog area permenantly. Of course, that will not happen. Probably the only one who will make any honest attempt at holding him acountable is Sophia.

Make no mistake Prog friends, our area is not any more open or free than the rest of the SDA subforum. If Daryl can delete half of a thread with impunity, than we have officially lost any semblance of control over our corner of the forum.

Yeah, I haven't been reported since last time he decided he needed to leave and now I've been reported 3 times in the same day in the PROG forum. What's wrong with this picture?

Now that folks can't see how much reporting is going on and who is doing it, I guess people don't have to be concerned about what they do under cloak of anonymity.

I for one believe all reporters and reportees should be visible to forum participants. Even if comments are not allowed, perhaps just knowing that others can see what you do should make folks a little more thoughtful.

Just a toteboard kind of setup, with a column for the Poster ID, Postee, Date/Time, Forum and Thread. Like I said, no comments. Just let everyone else in the forum see for instance that Soandso reported Gigwhirly eight times on Monday, four times on Tuesday, no times on Wednesday (went to prayer meeting ), six times on Thursday, and so on.......... These are just random numbers, but I believe the true numbers are breathtaking....

The appeals are being reviewed by the new Reconciliation Team now, so I think they should be handled more expeditiously than they were for a while.

The minimum time commitment is four hours per week. In reality, most mods probably spend a lot more time at it than that. It would really be up to you how much time beyond that you wanted to devote to it.

It depends. This forum's pretty busy for mods, and there are times I can be done easily an hour a day and other times I'm here every chance I can get and still can't keep up. Of course, it's only 4 hours a week that are manditory, as Sophia said.

One thing to keep in mind though, is that there are no forum specific mods anymore in one sense. If the uppers wish to move us around, they can. Who knows where I could end up at some point.

As for this thread topic, as Sophia said..it's really hard when you guys can't see the whole picture of what's going on behind the scenes, or even know the rulings that are given out.

If an infraction/warning/deletion is issued, though, it means there's valid reason for it. A spite report that is no violation will be ruled as so.

Also, keep in mind that even I made some of the reports from yesterday, not just Woob, as it may seem to you guys. The discussion went completely off topic for the thread, which is against the rules. Thusly, free speech or no free speech, there's still proper places for certain discussions.

I have one individual complaining against me-Woob. He has, at last count, about 10 individuals complaining about him. And yet I am punished first.

How does that work?

Reports or no reports, infractions or no infractions, he is going to be dealt with by us until he stops, because it is obvious there is no action against him forthcoming.

I, for one, have nothing left to lose. If I stand by and do nothing, I get nailed by the mods. If I respond to him and take action, I get nailed by the mods.

So, if I am going to be nailed, I might as well go down doing something instead of being avalanched by nonsensical reports that are actually being verified. And since we now cannot defend ourselves in the report area, it has become twice as necessary to fight him on his own ground.

I spend more than that amount of time in a week as it is.

Now that is disappointing! I'd want to mod the PROG forum. However, I guess if the 'big guy(s)' did some shifting it wouldn't be so bad.

Yes, it is. It would be more fair if we could see what was happening, even if we weren't allowed to comment. It would hold the spite reporters (and all of us) more responsible for making reports.

Well, I was given an RV for stating that statements on the main forum should confirm Jesus Christ, with no explanation given. I'm sure you got my PM's.

Yeah, I knew there were other reports that went out. But I'd bet that the rest don't equal what was generated (and is still being generated) from one particular poster. It's been par for the course.

All reports were/are being looked at equally, and pretty much at the same time, but it still just falls into a random order as to which is actioned first in most cases.

You also have to keep in mind there were more reports than we could keep up with from both sides of things. I lost count quite quickly, actually.

That is the point I was trying to make in saying I reported some of the posts too, that it's not just Woob in this. Regardless of anything else, your posts yesterday were not appropriate and thusly were ruled as so.

I'm hardly going to go into details that could violate what information I am to share beyond the reports though, so it's really as simple as that.

Just remember, you heard it here first Crimson. We have dealt with him a lot longer than you have, and we know how his pattern works. His victim routine has long stopped fooling any of us, and I am truly sorry he has snow-balled you so easily. You may think he is your friend now, but he is as unpredictable as a rabid dog. He will turn on you if you cross him, mark my words. He is also particularly vindictive to mods also.

It's your choice if you want to gamble by defending him and going to bat for him when he is clearly abusing our area.

It wouldn't have mattered who it was, whether they were my friend or not, I'm just trying to point out some of the facts that I can to try and clarify the situation more. So no, it's not really a matter of defending as it is not wanting to see a false assumption in this case.

Did I agree with what went on last night between those involved? No. I don't agree with anyone speaking bad of someone else, on any side. It's not Christ-like. Even defending one's self can be handled in better ways.

As for my friendship with Woob, that's between myself and him. I appreciate your concern, but I'm really quite fine.
